- Hyderabad city is famous for many things and it
would require quite a space to accommodate all that
in your memory. Its history has been dramatic, with
the rise and fall of many great rulers and dynasties
of southern India. Its struggle to stay ahead of times,

technological advancement in the last decade of twentieth

- Hyderabad city is only 400 years old, although
the region was civilized much before. The region before
that used to be an integral part of Deccan that was
ruled by Kakatiyan kings.
- At Hyderabad one often encounters a culture which

to provide for the lands where popular northern and
southern cultures get interspersed.
- Hyderabad is the fifth largest metropolitan city
of India, the other four being Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata
and Chennai.
A couple of centuries ago the region was a popular
trading centre with entities like pearls and diamonds
exported to different countries. The trade still survives
but has been sidelined by other activities at the
same time. It is due to this reason that the place
is sometimes referred as the 'Pearl City'.
- The city lies closer to Central India rather than
towards the peripheral southern end.
- Hyderabad is one of the largest amongst Indian cities
providing outsourcing jobs.
- Located in the city are some of the best training
institutes and IT parks. The presence of Microsoft
and IBM makes it really a hitech city.
- Tourism has been doing a good job and more during
the recent years. Tourist figures for the city has
been on the rise.
- There are great shopping places, restaurants, discotheques
and many popular entertainment avenues in the city.
- Hyderabad is home to a number of popular universities
and professional institutes of the sub continent.
