There are 3 major lakes in Hyderabad. These
are as follows:
- Hussain Sagar Lake
- Osman Sagar Lake
- Himayat Sagar Lake
Hyderabad city features some beautiful lakes which
hosts a number of activities and add to the charm
of the city. The largest and the most prominent in
the city is Hussain Sagar lake. The lake is almost
symbolic of the beauty and charm that Hyderabad boasts
about. This lake also happens to be the dividing line
between the twin cities, Secunderabad and Hyderabad.
Some other lakes located in the city include Osman
Sagar, Himayat Sagar, Shamirpet and Secret Lake.
The lakes at Hyderabad constitute best picnic spots
in the city. Many water based activities are hosted
at these places. The clear waters is the best feature,
accompanied with the picturesque view of landscaped
gardens. These lakes at many places are thronged by
different animal and bird species. The lakes of Hyderabad
captivate ones imagination and the impression remains
